...as transcribed by Silentus the Chronicler in interview on Month 10, Day 10, Year of the Basilisk
The subject standing before me on this occasion is in spirit form. He appears to be a young adult and elven in heritage. He speaks not with his mouth to my ears, but with his mind to mine.
Mysaides Mein: I am Mysaides Mein of the house Mein. I come from great Myrimar... I came to Fredian to escape my exile from my lands. I died here and was judged by my gods. I lived my life for bloodshed and greed... Yet at my judgement Tyr came and spoke 'You Mysaides would die for love. You? Selfless sacrifice... you deserve fire but I will give you a chance for your sacrifice....' I am cursed to this place for many reasons. I hear the tormented and innocent die. Till a thousand cry out Tyr will not realase me. She wishes to hear a chorus that she heard against my name. Bring me their song... And someday pay the guilty for their deed.... And deeds. Tyr says life comes to those who understand it's worth and its price. I have given her a chance to believe in me for once as she says.
. . . From you.....Good monk....one thing I need...Let all know I am in their minds and know their deeds. There will be justice for all that have been wronged as I. Let not the shadows of this world engulf all for sun shall always shine here (Cara Unscathe)... And sanctuary to all here on this land - From any.... To any.... No blood shed on elven land! This place is to be kept sacred...not defiled by the heart of the wicked.
Silentus: This I will gladly do. Without reservation I shall pass this message on to all that will hear it.
--- short break ---
Silentus: Please, what of your childhood, and exile?
Mysaides Mein: I was exiled when a young elf lived in the wild. That child grew on berries and grew smart with time... Gold and gems sparkled... I came to know what it is to be a elf alone... Had only myself to rely on... Found my way here threw theft and smuggling. All for the sparkle of gold that bought me good drinks and meals in the city. I raised myself through lies and cheating; I was alone... Not that that justifies it....
Silentus: Whatever turned you away from our peoples ancient heritage? This sounds not like the way of the elf. Something must have formed this ... deviance.
Mysaides Mein: My father raped my sister in a dark ritual....I slew him for love of her innocence. He tried to capture my body as well. I was exiled because no one could believe the King's hand was blood stained and evil
Mysaides Mein: Miria...is my sister.... I had to... I left she asked why....
Silentus: The king was your father?
Mysaides Mein: No his master mage.... He was his hand.... The King Gilliard is a good King... He just had much corruption around him.... Myrimar is truely far away now...I can no longer remember it's song....
Mysaides Mein: I was exiled for this... I adventured all my life till my one hundred and twenty first birthday....that brought me here...
EDITORIAL - I would like to add for the record that I have agreed to attempt to inform the public, particularly those unjustly wronged, of Mysaide's plight and encourge them to make a pilgramage to Cara Unscathe. As a distributer of truth and information I willingly take this to task.
Very minimalistic editing was employed to maintian consistancy of conversation. At no point has any content been added or removed from the subjects original interview. The subject fully agreed to allow his or her interview to be recorded and published to the public record.
