Merrick Wend… Do not take it that Wayne was not without powers of his own, for he certainly was a man of many talents. In life he was beset by so many that I heard the cries from my desert perch. Before I could reach him, he lay bleeding and dying on me in a way I cannot explain. No powers known to me could raise him. In my frustration I ran rampant through the lowest levels of the dungeons slaying all that opposed me. That is when I met Thrant.
