Merrick Wend… I am Merrick Wend first ruler of Castille and I have been here since the time we arrived in this part of the skies. Some of you know me others do not. It has been remiss of me in my travels that I have not met all that come to this place, alas my duties call me elswhere often, as do my many studies. Anyway to the point of this call to council: Styne Castle is without law
Merrick Wend… The viceroy will ellect other officials and law keepers from amongst you. Such matters have become necessary due to how many of you have arrived here on our island from your homes and travels with no place else to go
Merrick Wend… The role of viceroy will be elected from those that have come from the beginning. This is a role that will be filled by those who came first, they are the ones who have best knowledge of all your plights I have not chosen anyone, that would not be in the best interest of all. However I have proposals for you all. I will accept silent ballot; the names are as follows:

Nathaniel Hald… None were elected. Lord Merrick was simply seeking council on his picks....

Brekke HartBlade… I suggest we need time to ponder on these choices
Merrick Wend… Be still and silent unless you are voting
Xavier Shadowstalker… Aye, since my name was somehow chosen to be among the contenders, I decline to issue a ballot silent or otherwise, t'would be unfair
Vugor… Me just wantin to say dat yous not should choose me, K? Me not real smart guy - some udder is, so vote dems, K? *Looks at Merrik* Okays, tanks.
Xavier Shadowstalker… I wait to see if any think me worthy of the title. I know not what the duties t'would be... May I enquire as to the duties laid before the potential Vicoy?
Brekke HartBlade… I speak on behalf of the Un'Moving and we refrain from voteing till we have had time to make a decison together
Merrick Wend… Frost Farstrider is elected as viceroy of Styne Castle in the absence of royal house sitting in judgement there
Silentus… (assortment of approvals and disapprovals)
Merrick Wend… Now to other business
Gierdo *Frost* Farstrider… So what is a viceroy to do
Merrick Wend… I will consult with you on that Frost. Now pay attention. Chauve Chymbryl to my right is a knight of my table, if you see him on this island he is of law to this castle.
Merrick Wend… Stand Sir Calneman. Calneman is also a member of the kings knights of Castille. Sir Lenton Stand Sir Lenton also is a knight of Castille, in absence is Capt of the Knight Arngrim who is laid up with palsy. others will be called to knighthood as deeds are seen to hold the interest of the island.
Brekke HartBlade… I suggest that the new viceroy meet with the heads of all the guilds personally and meet all there members to bring us all closer together and perhaps make the guild masters part of his council to run Styne better
Merrick Wend… That is the intention of the roll. Frost will oversee a meeting with you all. We will need a hall for such, and as the Inn in West Styne is the largest area for seating I would suggest there
Caomhin… What of us who hold no such allegiance.... how will we be represented to our new viceroy?
Merrick Wend… You may present yourselve to him anytime you wish by appointment I am sure. A way has been thought on none will have to allie themselves to a guild
Nathaniel Hald… The patrons (at the inn) can be noisy, Lord Wend. Another place?
Silentus… (assortment of existing locations discussed - none firmly decided upon)
Brekke HartBlade… The un'moving is willing to donate 170,000 Gold to the construction of a new ediface
Vugor… Me will pay for place if place gotta be builded - me tinkin dat way dere alway be seats fer peoples.
Merrick Wend… Those that wish to leave and be seen by the council may do so now

Merrick Wend… This meeting was called not because you know who these all are, but because you do not. I would have you know that your plight is common, none of you will see your homes again. I have been here since we arrived from our true place in the skies, I know this as the stars are not the same. Scholars and adventurers all have tried to travel to the 4 corners A veil surrounds us not of normal magic.
Merrick Wend… When I was a lad south of this island, we played under different stars. Under those stars my family came here to Castille when it was all desert. As a lad I had no idea of where I would be now. Fredian lay north of a great land mass. All that is there now is waters and the veil - that was some 800 yrs ago
Merrick Wend… I am not old still by my reckoning, strange magics keep me unaged as you see me and that is also part of the story of this island. Think not that you are all that has come - other creatures have come. Things that nightmares are made from. Below Styne Castle itself resides one whom I have fought and not bested, but also he not I.
Merrick Wend… Those that went to the edge of the veil some made it through to somewhere they also however came back... but not as they were... warped is the way they exist. Some were the elves, others the hard working gnomes humans and even halfings who are rare now on this island. All travelled in search of the missing lands all that remains of the elves live in Cara Unscathe.
Merrick Wend… Of the noble blood of that house, that was not Cara Unscathe, two remain in silent lives within that forest of peace.
Merrick Wend… A new threat emerges - within even my very walls of this castle also reports are in of drow stealthly walking my wallls they come at night. Up from the deserts beneath the pantheon and other sites. Look not to Ner'dulla her story is painful, and I am grateful for her and her wisdom now behind these drow I am told floating eyes gather *sigh* prejudice is hard to reverse sadly.
Nathaniel Hald… Speaking of which, I believe a slave caravan is on its way to Styne real soon, isn't it Lord Wend.....

Merrick Wend… that is what I have heard Nathaniel
Xavier Shadowstalker… Nay... I shall not abide slavery in the Brotherhood.... I must discuss this matter with the Warlord...
Merrick Wend… However, life is not kind to some, and in some cases a life of servitude is better than life in the gutters or in the hands of more terrible fates
Migden Rualcon… These people dress in wealth.......you care not to share your coffers with the poor so you chose to insave them.....
Ner'dulla Serthalyss… Slavery in itself isnt all that bad. It becomes bad when masters go beserk
Migden Rualcon… for every slave i will pay 2000 gold to set them free more if need be...
Merrick Wend… I would ask those of you that can though to help those in need that they may not fall on such hard times, and that those that do be protected from the likelyhood of worse slavery should the drow that assail us be susccessful; none are safe, if they should come in large numbers.

Merrick Wend… It is like yesterday to me yet 40 years have flown behind me since that day. Do you know how much pain it brings me to know that you all find sport in slaying an already dead friend? *sighs* He spoke to me then as I had not thought of being spoken to. As such he told me he would remain in his place and would bother none who did not bother him. He said he would do this in honor of our fight and my bravery. He could have killed me he nearly did...
Nathaniel Hald… A strange action for a devilkin. What will be of Wayne now, Lord Wend?
Merrick Wend… I am stll not sure to this day, but he has not ventured above the dungeons. ahh Nathaniel, I would now ask all great mages to study new spells
Brekke HartBlade… A Circle of Clerics might be able place him to rest as a conclave of wizards Banish the deamon at the same time
Merrick Wend… Some would come to me and bring ideas of an action that we may once and for all retore Styne to her former glory and put Wayne to rest.
Mysaides Mein… Indeed what if that might conflict with the ones you have put into power great king?
Merrick Wend… silence please Mysaides, I am aware of your plottings, be silent in my castle
Mysaides Mein… Your roof sire - My home was desecrated last night with blood by your Viceroy - And I can have no say!
Merrick Wend… There is reason for this talk Viceroy?
Gierdo *Frost* Farstrider… Yes Nathaniel bade me test xandar and i did so

Mysaides Mein… I see. Silence me. Fine so be it - but to many self serving sheep I say
Merrick Wend… Wayne is a perplexing issue as many have tried and failed to put him at rest, and I am not without my own resources after 8 centuries of life either. Very well, I am tiring and I have much work still ahead of me, think not this story is over, I have just begun, but perhaps Silentus when I see him will be of service to me. This council is ended for the night I need my sleep, please feel free to ask of us the boon of travel by magics
