I guess it was about noon on the day when my eyes opened. The sunlight, the soft grass, my mom and litter of brothers and sisters next to me, it was all so amazing to be able to finally see. You would think a fine example of puppiness such as myself would have just relaxed for awhile and taken it all in. Well it was also that moment that I endured my first real flea bite.
Oooh that foul little bug got me good too. Immediatly turned me into a frenzied tornado of scratching and itching. I want to say that as this was going on I may have tripped a dwarf but I'm not really sure. I do remember finally getting that flea between my teeth, (hmmmm, salty) I sneezed a bit but my scratching had left me sitting on a board that was atop a small rock like a tilted seesaw. Just before I could get out the glorious fourth sneeze my siblings decided to get on the other end of the board.
Wow I could certainly see alot more from five feet in the air. I had a funny feeling in my belly too. This was kinda nice but then I was coming back down. What a shame I thought as my belly complained a bit more. It got dark and I fell a bit more than I should have. At that time I didn't have any idea what a well was or what the splash at the end of my journey meant. That was when I learned that mud could be very crunchy as I cleaned myself a bit.
Now of course no one up above had noticed any of this and I was no complainer, I just splashed a bit and figured out it's hard to breath when you put your nose under water and into mud. When I was finished sneezing that time lo and behold, there was another dog down here with me. This one was big though, bigger than mom for sure and smelled of so many things my senses could'nt keep up.
She spoke to me in a sweet voice filled with wisdom and told me I was to be called Stampy but for now to tell no one of this, and that I was to be sent to a place for now because I was destined to be the bravest dog in all the worlds, even braver than Fido on the continent of Krynn. So when she promised that from this day forward I would be free from fleas I agreed quickly. We left that day and my life has not been the same since.
What's that you want more? Well it will have to be another time. Theres a rabbit heading home right about now and if I'm not there to chase him a bit he will be very upset with me when I'm at his vegetarian buffet on saturday. Im always here on Ferrus though if you look for me and when you come to this isle please don't litter.
