After a long and eventful day, Mackenzie returns home, and heads straight towards his office where M'k'n'z'y once held his library. M'k'n'z'y disappeared after taking a small vacation in other parts of the island to collect samples of vegetation for his research. Now, Mac uses it as his own office to write out reports of various criminals that he encounters through his work.
Mac pulls out a chair made out of oak from the desk and sits down. He opens a drawer in the desk and pulls out a few sheets of paper, and ink well and a pen. He dips the pen into the ink well and begins to write.
"To begin, I shall first describe the nature in which the 10 victims were brutally slain, with one of them being a special exception. Each victim was discovered with the same brutalities inflicted upon them. Their eyes, teeth, fingernails, and toenails were missing from the bodies. Each one was typically found on a stone slab, covered in a white sheet with either a red pentagram with purple flames surrounding, or none at all. In the special case of one victim, he was found alive and all 4 limbs were attached to stakes which were implanted in the wooden floor in Baker Street 1 in Castille. This victim also had the pentagram with purple flames surrounding as well.
"After leading a number of clues, it wasn't long until I briefly encountered the killer before he stepped through a portal. He was wearing black clothing with a cape. His face had black tattoes covering along with black hair in the style that Shard fancies.
"I returned to West Styne where I briefed Hanah Dedraluin on the matter. Shortly thereafter, few other individuals joined in the discussion, namely Turel Arcadis and Derrek Langly. They decided to perform their own search of the killer with hopes of solving the case. A red dragon disciple that goes by the name Sabel lent her assistance while at the same time, recording the events.
I had to organize a patrol to better secure the Castille area as the others did their investigation.
"They followed a few leads as their investigation progressed. A badly wounded guard found outside Castiella Inn reiterated what events he could remember. The guard eventually led the group to the entrance to the castle dungeon."
Mac places the pen down in the ink well for a few minutes while he stretched and rubbed his eyes, obviously tired from a long day of work. He picks the pen up again and continues.
"After combing the dungeon, they came across a large room, where two dracoliches, the serial killer, and two more victims were discovered. After battling the dracoliches, the serial killer was finally confronted. From what I was told by Turel and Hanah, the serial killer mentioned he had a master. There were no specifics as to whom this master is. Although the serial killer called Turel 'Life Giver'. A nickname given to Turel after giving up part of his life force to a powerful demon as a deal in ridding the island of the infamous Kyaasord. This could be a clue as to who this master is, but I will not speculate in this report just yet.
"Finally, to the good news, the serial killer was dispatched by the investigators and now all seems peaceful in Castille for now. I am relieved and happy to know that this case is now solved. All families related to the victims have been notified and I have personally given them my condolences. I could not have solved this case without the help from Turel Arcadies, Hanah Dedraluin, Derrek Langly, and Sabel. They have my deepest gratitude. I will not also forget the others who have helped bring me closer in solving the case, particularly the people who led me to the house in Baker Street. ((ooc: And for the record, I cannot remember everyone who were involved, so I apologize for not listing your names here.)) I hereby declare this solved. Case closed."
Mac closes off the report with writing his signature on the bottom. He sighs slightly as he puts the pen in the ink well. He opens the drawer again and pulls out a red candle and a stamp. He lights the wick on the candle and sticks it in a holder while he folds the report up and puts it in an envelope that was laying on the table already. He picks the candle up and lets the hot wax drop on the envelope where the center of the flap is. He blows the candle out and sets it back on the stand. He takes his stamp and stamps the wax, making a nicely official seal on the envelope. Mac gets up, puts everything away, except for the envelope, where he keeps it in hand. He walks to his bedroom, sets the envelope down on a table stand near the bed and Mac retires to bed.
