Bahamut's Book of Prophecy Chapter 9
"And the humanoids build themselves up greatly, putting beast and my children from their lands or forcing them into seclusions. My children took to forms like the humanoids to hide. Towers of the humanoid's industry sprouted throughout the lands. They knew only to consume and corrupt with the wastes of their labor. Great was the trauma done to nature."
"Despite my crys for restraint, she did not head my pleading, great was nature's vengence and my children in their hidden guises assumed a new purpose. They were to guide humanoids through their strife. The humanoids lost many of their kind as great abberations of natural forces spread throughout the land and tore their society from its limbs til all but a select few remained. My children, hidden in seclusion, had even been long forgotten and even they knew not who they were."
"On the day of humanoid's true repentance, yet but 10 remained, a handful of their kind in a bastion of their former might with defenses to hold yet but them.. among them an additional 10, the last of my children smitten amid nature's fury. On that day nature relented, the world began a return to its normals, yet the grief was such that the remaining few felt a need to record a warning for the future generations. The humanoids recorded thier plees for self-control to their children and restraint. The last of my prophets, a great hero for this time who had faught along side many of the last for years, came foreward and spoke my word."
"I had updated my chronicles, the words in them and commands were harsh for them to here. As my prophet spoke the final words of the text, storing them to be repeated to the next generation a shot rang out. By one of her own, who had even loved her, she had been executed. All I asked for was restraint, and patience. The ambition of mortals knows no end. Even in the face of absolute destruction they will not change their ways."
