Been playing on the CEP for a while testing it out really hardcore. It holds out fine and doesn't seem to have any real problems so far that I've seen. Been on it only for the last 3 or so days so I'm not too sure but I think with the amount of hours I've tested it it should be fine. I leveled once on it and it didn't have any problems there. I have a subrace and it didn't have any problems there either. The thing about the rods though is that you have to equip them in order to use them but that isn't that bad to suffer, plus they do like 1d6 damage ;D. I'm supportive of using the CEP after testing it out and would love to see the server take that change and go in that direction. It adds a lot to what you can do both as a DM and as a player and I love how they've added everything from new helms to new weapons, kilts, and even 400+ monsters if I read the thing right. Only looked at about 30 or so so far. Well thats all I have to rant about .

OK, we are in awe of the stuff. The shipwrecked boat was very nice. I like the layered textrues, nice effect. ;D
Soooooooooooo... How stable is it so far? Crashes? Uptime? CPU/Mem useage?

You want awe, check out the forests now that I finished them today! willows, oaks... all sorts . As far as the stability and CPU/IO goes... even though it is a lower spec server, the same stability and useage is there that the current version on the main gives, no crashes, no major problems I can see thus far. On Saturday I want one of the in game DM's to run an event for 19 players on the CEP server for around 8am PST. That will allow us to stress test it. Following this, if all are happy and have CEP, we'll make the switch. Makz.

Excellent! Stable is good, I'll try to make it there on Sat., and we'll try to beat it up. We need to try to get people to test crafting, if that hasn't been done. I doubt people have much, since it's the live server is copy we are keeping, the points won't carry over, but we need to test that too.

Greetings all,
Ok, final test yesterday morning was reasonably well attended reaching 19 players on including the 2 DM's, thanks cartoonic and preedy1978. The result from initial feedback, and my own observations, is that CEP in Fredian is ready for prime time. If *ANYONE* has any issues arising from yesterday now is your time to tell me!!. If there are none, I suggest that anyone who does not yet have the CEP pack get it!!! and tomorrow morning when I reload that load will be the CEP version of Fredian on the main server.
Thank you to all that helped test it during the previous week, and those that participated yesterday. I am sure the result of the additions to the Island of Fredian will make it a better place to play.
Makz.

As the message and topic infers Taylor, yes, you need the CEP to play Fredian, from tomorrow, just like you need SoU and HotU to play it, due to the content use of each of those as well. You cannot play Fredian without SoU and HotU, and now you also need CEP.

When I heard they planned to test, I couldn't resist and downloaded it overnight while asleep. Took eight hours, and expected it to cutoff and refuse to work, but I got it without incident. ;D

If you are in the US, it's not a problem downloading for 8 hours, cos it's normally free, In the UK, It would cost a fortune.
