Huge thank you going out to ride.
Those of you that are not part of the teamspeak family probably aren't aware that Ride has hosted a shoutcast server from his site r1de.net.
This was mostly due to a discussion on teamspeak of playlists and character theme songs and at least a little bit of my own ability to have the perfect song for a situation que up on my playlist at just the right moment.
I will be streaming my playlist for a while tonight for anyone that wants to join, and anyone can run their playlist out for us to listen to in turn.

If you don't like Jethro Tull, how about Kenny Rogers or Dolly Parton, also have some Barbara Streisand. I'm rather ecclectic in my music taste; but I don't consider most rap music, but I love Rapture by Blondie.
I only have about 6000 MP3s, with the CDs in storage, gotta keep it legal. But I have lots of variety in my collection, even Alvin and the Chipmunks ;D

rapture by blondie makes me want to jab sharp objects into my ears....
i was gonna try and Dj but shoutcast plugin won't work with my soundcard ... most people wouldn't recognize my playlist anyway though...

*rolls her eyes*
Apart from sharing music we all like, this is also a nice opportunity to share music that not everyone has heard before.
I have every artist mentioned in this thread thus far on one playlist or another.
Open your minds a bit and try a little of that odd looking stuff. You might like the taste, and if not, you will at least know that you don't like the taste by proof rather than prejudice.
I bet that I can find at least one song from every genre that even the harshest critic of the genre can tolerate if not enjoy. There are more things under the sun than are dreamed of in your philosophy!
That having been said, I have been contemplating the saddest line in any punk song ever...see if you can name the song...
"Haji was alone and abandoned by his band..."
Sad, don't you think?

Heh, if I was the DJ, I know all of you would be thinking I have no coherence in my music tastes. Mainly, I glide around trance/experimental from Muzie now... It's all wierd but cool stuff... I guess I might be before my time. Lol, if anybody likes Dance Dance Rev. music, I have every freaking track and plenty of Beatmania. (Yes, I play that game, and play it well...Err, enough to AA 9s but never touch 10s ARGH!))
And hammerfall, hammerfall is fun...
Actually, my dad and I have done DJ gigs before, kinda fun. But I'm no scratcher, just a fader. Hey, works for weddings!
aww, I don't have winamp2 and the guys over at Llama land don't 'ave it no more...

In building my music collection I even went back to my childhood favorites, I have a lot Snoopy songs because I have The Royal gaurdsmen, but the again, some of our players would still be considered children by old codgers (only 35) like myself (dagnab them teens and the junk they call music these days).
This list doesn't include all the artists in my collection, some are on compilation CDs, but it does show the broad spectrum of my taste. And I set my media player to random, like a huge radio station with no commercials and no set catagory of music.
