For those that are curious but too lazy to look it up, it is caused by a nerve inflammation in CN-VII (7th cranial nerve). Prognosis in most cases is good recovery in 3 months or less. Oh man.... we blew his 7th nerve.... I was too late with the chest fixes.... the complaining was too great and pushed him over the top.... I'll never forgive myself.... darn you lanthar!!! The good news is, no complaints about chests yet and we are going on 72 hours I'm glad to hear that 3 months or less there is recovery. Also glad to hear treatments are available, and people who said they knew people who had it were cases that recovered. That bodes good news for you if you are the common case as well. You probably are, or I think your doc probably would of given you something stronger (like steroids?)

I have small thing I am doing which kind of helps as well, at least until the dark image gets to me, I have a patch over the offending eye to at least having to work without blinking all the time and watering. Eating and drinking is really sucking the most of all...

Oh god, pleeeeaaase get well...
I'm paranoid of diseases... Dad had a cyst a while ago, brr... Anything to do with wierdness... Wait, I mean, physical anomalies freak me out.
I think all of us players need to do something... Namely, don't use the basin with pelts in bags and being dirty and not letting the garbage spirits, err scripts, do thier work...

Thanks,
Well it's one week on since I was officially declared suffering from Bell's Palsy...
Changes have happened on the medication I am on, I can use my mouth a little more, and I have minor movement in my left eyelid other than just close when right is completely closed, still sucks to hear myself try to speak and to eat, and also to try to use monitor on PC for long... patch on eye helps some, and use of visine drops to releave soreness... and onwards I go... at least some improvement gives me a little more hope than a week ago.

Another week has gone, I am improving slowly each day, each time I think I am ready for a large bout of work though, my eye reminds me it is not 100%... I can kind of use my mouth better, my ear near where the inflamation is, is not as sore, and my eye most of the time is a lot better, at least I can drive myself again now.
Doctor put me on continued use of the anti-viral and anti-inflammatories again today, and wants to send me to a neurologist in case still.. silly over reacting broad wants to still double check I didn't have a stroke... second opinions and all that rubbish.... *sigh* poke, prod.. does that hurt, is there any history of this in your family blah blah...
Thanks again all for the well wishes, I feel like I am AWOL at the moment, but I can't help it, and I miss being with my extended family.
Makz.

Take your medicine and like it, oh lord and master.
You can't be too careful with your health, now can you?
Good to hear you are getting better...

Is it just me, or when he gets fixed with his bells, his brain will be the next to fall prey to contagion?

Hey Makz does that inner ear thing help drowned out the wife ... There could be a market for that kind of thing. LOL. Good to hear your improving ahead of schedule. 3 months would have been difficult.
