Actually seriptus, the inner ear problem makes sounds about 3 times the normal volume to me for a band of frequencies from about 400hz - 3000khz... makes it fun for doing my music, and with my mouth not working, singing has been out :/
Still, I am improving, so I am hoping for 100% recovery now.

Yikes, 3 times, I dont think I could get the TV up loud enough if she was at 3 times the volume *shrinks away
I bet your singing is still better than mine!

Yeah, it would make it hard for me to fix my car problems too (which I usually do by turning the radio up a little bit louder).

Update:
Hi all, thank you again to all that expressed hope for my recovery from this nasty little thing.
Today is my and Salandra's 15th Wedding Anniversary, we were married in an old rental house in Sydney back in 1989.
I am getting a lot better, I would say I have about 95% use of my left eye muscles now. My ear is almost completely back to normal, inner ear that is.
Mouth, well.. that is being stubborn, and considering it has of course the most number of muscles effected by those dead nerves... could be some time still.
I am off the medication now, and just taking it day by day.
Thanks.
Makz.

Happy Anniversary & I am glad to here you are getting better.
I know that I & the other musicians feel for you on the singing. There's nothing worse than a mouth or hand injury when it comes to that.
Keep getting well

Thanks again all, another week... Last night for the first time I was able to whistle sort of. A sign that the last part of my mouths re-activation from the paralysis is in it's final stages hopefully, still feel weird around those muscles, but it's a good sign.

Thought it was about time I gave more of an update on my progress. I went and saw a Chiroprator my wife uses. He found I had a vertebrae pressing near that cortex, and has commenced work on re-aligning my back and neck, feel a little better again after he did it. More to go, but still getting progressively, if slowly, better.

In case anyone wondered, although the video of me at the party may not show it, I do in fact still have this nasty little thing. And, lately it is acting up enough to annoy me. That is why I am on a break, I am feeling worn out from stress, and that is not good for me.

Guilty as charged! It's all that fussing with bowyering and I know it. Workin on it 12 hours a day, stayin up to all hours and then getting up at 5:00... Should of saved the energy for the troubles of this week, and have Salandra deal with it when she got back But nooooo. Although admittedly I didn't help you when you asked Relax it off some more again, and then we can re-inflammate it with another round of fixes! wooo j/k!
