As his link indicates, we HIGHLY recommend that you read all the important informatio posts at least one time. Doing so will answer ~ 75% of the questions that people ask (like this one and everything about the KeHaar lately)

ok- so when I type in 1/2 Celestial into the sub race feild, it should be-
half-celestial
or
half celestial
just wondering how case sensative it is.

Thank you
I'm working on a story line for this character-
It starts off that he was born on Fredian Island AFTER it split off from the mainland and only knows it as having been the island- But being half Celestial, knows of the split and some of the reasons for it and where the Island is in the world. (but doesnt have the common tounge wording to explain it to anyone ;D) But that's as far as I get- So it may be some time yet before You see him. Also- I have to work out the subtleties(sp?) of being Lawful good. I have never played a LG character and am not quite sure how to RP it. I know checking chests, coffins and sarcophagi are out. Entering a house without knocking or asking is out... Anyone have some more do's and don'ts?

Pretty sure and have had it confirmed from other sources, Immunities only work Dam Resistance 20/-
But I know for a fact that has nothing to do with this choice of subrace for you ;D ;D ;D

Lawful good PC's are hard to RP , I find. If your used to playing Evil of any kind this could be quiet a task.

I am probably going to get blasted for this one, but oh well. It is my opinion that there isn't an alignment that is "difficult" to play. Regardless of past experiences. It is the "being true" to an alignment that is the difficult part. If an alignment is "Difficult" to play, by a persons admission, then they are having a problem with "Acting" a part. It comes down to a persons internal filters. You (as the player) have to do things (as a character) in a manner that the charecter would likely do them. So you (the player) have to act through actions/deed/word/conversations after thinking what would you (the charecter) do. The problem as I have found is that first you (the player) filter what to do and then you (the character) filters it through his/her mind set and acts accordingly. It is the removal of your (the player) inherit and very well concreted filters that lets you "act" as you (the character). So if the aligment is "difficult" to play then you (the player) need to learn to not be you! Not really that difficult. The difficult part is to do it ALWAYS when playing that Char. Lawful Good gets a bad wrap because it has so many "requirements". Well so does Chaotic Evil! It is just when you are CE you are allowed to act LG and just say, "I was being Deceptive"! WTF. CE is one of the most misunderstood and poorly played alignments ever. But it isn't frowned upon when played poorly. So go ahead and play a "Deceptive" LG and act evil. Go on, go ahead. If all is fair then you shouldnt be frowned upon either. Good people Lie to keep the peace (little white lie) and Lawful people cheat for the greater good. But they aren't "being true" to there alignment. Now Knights or druids or monks or Clerics or etc, have a second set of "Requirements" Each one lives by a "code" which is not Alignment based (though heavily influenced by it). And that conversation will be left for another time.

I find all alignments are equally difficult. Evil is a little more restrictive because of (necessary) server limits on etiquette.

I generally play neutral or neutral good as it reflects my personality. I have a tendancy to be middle of the road in the aspect that I can see the need for evil to show what good is, anarchy to showe the need for law and the ballance that comes from all of it.
I know what is required of each alignment as I have played D&D almost since its insception.
I just dont know the subtlties. Plus, there are *good* drow (absolutely NOT possible in D&D- neutral evil, lawful neutral, neutral, chaotic neutral, chaotic evil- but never good) and so despising the drow on sight- trying to rid the world of their evil- doesnt apply much in NWN. Or at least within the online version of the game.
Picking Racial or class enemies is going to prove difficult at best- Figan and Mannis, tho lawful, are neutral due to my personal temper and knowing I can be a jerk sometimes. That way it isnt an alignment issue-
(getting personal and hoping the group is *adult* enough not to throw it at me later. Confident that most of you are)
Having to follow the letter of the law almost to an annoying point, being good beyond myself and generally having a holier than thou attitude is so against who I am that If I have difficulty with it, I would appreciate tells of advice letting me know where I could improve- Also I have a bit of trouble being godly(1/2 cel). Not sure if I should be haughty about it or humble.
As you have probably noticed, I usually dont have enough free time to visit the forum regularly so tells would help.
Im also a little timid about the +4 ecl as I played a +5 ECL on another server that took months to develope only to lose her to an accidental vault wipe.
So why am I saying all of this? I guess Im asking for a little help, patience, understanding and assurance that *it'll be ok*. Its a tough row to hoe taking on a character like this and investing that much time into them.

Howdy,
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out this whole sub-race thing as this is new to me. Can someone help point me in the correct direction? I have read all the FAQs and did 3 different searches trying to figure this out without luck and I didn't want to be stuck with multiple un-useable characters in my vault so I haven't tested this much.
So, I'm trying to use the Earth Genasi race. What do I enter into the subrace form? EarthGenasi, Earth Genasi, Half-EarthGenasi, etc...
I tried to test this locally but was not able to get anything to work. Thanks for any assistance.

Type it as typed in the FAQ. It will not work Locally but only on the server. So go to the server make a new character of any race and for subrace type in Earth Genasi.
