Ok, time for our powergaming population to speak up about what you feel is important. I want to see some char builds posted.
Here are the build post requirements:
- if the PC exists, state its name.
- state race, class, beginning stats, feats.
- state skill point preferences and ending skill pionts.
- state overall feats taken
- state level ordering
Since you rarely have "the uber of everybody" build, I am looking for things more like, "This character is good at X, Y, Z". State the highlights and known weaknesses of the build.
Here is a sample:
Name: [undisclosed]
Race: Elf
Class: Bard/Red Dragon Discipline/Arcane Archer
Starting stats: (first level in bard)
Str: 16
Dex: 18
Con: 12
Wis: 8
Int: 8
Cha: 12
Skill points in Lore, SAVES remaining skill points.
Level 1: Bard (point blank shot)
Level 2: Bard
Level 3: Bard (weapon focus in longbow)
Level 4: Bard +1 STRENGTH
Level 5: Bard
Skill points are thrown in discipline, SAVES remaining.
Level 6: RDD (Power Attack) (+2 str from RDD)
Level 7: RDD
Level 8: RDD +1 STRENGTH
Level 9: RDD (Cleave)
Level 10: RDD
Skill points are SAVED
Level 11: Arcane Archer
Level 12: Arcane Archer , +1 STRENGTH, Great Cleave
Level 13: Arcane Archer
Level 14: Arcane Archer
Level 15: Arcane Archer, improved critical (longbow)
Level 16: Arcane Archer, +1 STRENGTH
Level 17: Arcane Archer
Level 18: Arcane Archer, Rapid Shot
Level 19: Arcane Archer
Level 20: Arcane Archer (+1 DEXTERITY)
Now that AB is the same for all classes beyond 20,
we go back to RDD:
Skill points in DISCIPLINE, save the rest.
fyi there are some other RDD immunities/stats given but I am not writing them here.
Level 21: RDD (Greater Dexterity)
Level 22: RDD
Level 23: RDD
Level 24: RDD (Greater Dexterity), +1 dex
Level 25: RDD (you get +4 str and some other stuff for 10th level of RDD)
Switch back to AA
Level 26: AA (AA level 11)
Level 27: AA (AA level 12), overwhelming critical(longbow)
Level 28: AA (AA level 13),
Level 29: AA (AA level 14) greater dexterity [epic feat]
Level 30: AA (AA level 15), devestating critical (longbow)
Level 31: AA (AA level 16)
Level 32: AA (AA level 17)
Level 33: AA (AA level 18), greater dexterity [epic feat], greater dexterity [normal feat]
Level 34: AA (AA level 19)
Level 35: AA (AA level 20)
Level 36: AA (AA level 21) greater dexterity
Level 37: AA (AA level 22) greater dexterity [epic feat]
Level 38: AA (AA level 23)
Level 39: AA (AA level 24) greater dexterity or epic skill focus in discipline
Remember all those skill points you were saving?
Level 40: RDD, max discipline and spend rest on what you want. Take +1 dexterity for your stat.
Finishing stats (NOT enhanced by equipment yet muahha:
26 str
28 dex
12 con
8 wis
8 int
12 cha
Highlights:
-Ranged devestating critical! Screw your enemies from a distance!
-Good Attack bonus, good AC, bardsong for +1 more AB.
-Difficult to disarm.
-High strength bonus to maximize +mighty on a bow. This can be as good as +12 bonus (do we have bows with +12 mighty?) if you max your str especially with subrace.
Weaknesses:
-Not very skilled
-Cannot beat a monk archer in archer vs. archer
-Nothing in the build helps vs. spells. Equipment can supplement a little.
Advice:
-Maximize range ability by using it! Don't fight straight up to avoid damage from opponent while still delivering shots.
Ok, this was just a sample of a favourite archer of mine. Post your builds using a similar, detailed form
Have fun critisizing my archer btw, and eachother
