Phoenix - Thats the way it is supposed to work. The forums start a default way - then scripts are run that let you change them. I have no control over that tomy knowlege
Ride - Thanks for the heads up. The script that generates the popup relys on that little bit of text that phoenix is complaining about. I had it removing that info before the popup script ran so it wassnt generating the popup. Now whne you get the popup, it will look the way Phoenix xcmoplained about until you his the Ok or Cancel button.

OK, if that's the way it is, just pointing it out. It's not that it's too big, unless that's what was causing the text not to load properly. Since it's supposed to be 'hidden' then it's ok. |

God that looks sexy, I can shrink it down a bit later if I need to... it all depends.. I can always crap up a different design.. maybe 600x100ish might be good?
I can try tp make a logo, but err... I need some criteria. Like... err, does Damien swift have a sign? when I get home, I'll start trying to make different logos that can somehow pertain to the atmosphere of Fredian.

Like the new banner looks good.
But it covers the login information NP but a little annyoing cause I stay on for long periods in the background at work and never really sure if I'm logged and updateing info. NP just a comment.

Maybe you hadnt noticed.. If you stay at the main page, you will get the new mail popup on every refresh. I disabled that inside the individual boards though as it gets REALLY annoying getting popups on every new page if you dont want to read your new PMs. you can always tell if youre still logged in by the existance of the User: and Password: feilds at teh top right of the main page (if they dont exist - youre logged in) If peope want that info back, I can add it - just trying to pretty things up  |

Well if it's too large, and there isn't room for the message, and the message has to be there. Lets give in and shorten the banner a bit and put the msg. field back in... Don't throw rocks in a glass house... wait that's not it... A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush... darn, OK, it's something to do with birds and rocks, and I think the number two is in there somewhere. |

How about having a logo that fits the color scheme of the board? This one looks so... umm "square", because it doesn't blend in to the other colors in the background... just my opinion.
It's been a while since I designed anything but I could give it a try if you want an alternative.

No, no, a little to the right... What about another banner! Then place it next to the other banner, only slightly higher so you get a two-level effect, with a little path running down the middle? |

Hate to spoil your party, but since you went with this, my system can't even see a header anymore, I have norton anti-spam in and also ad-aware and... am at 1280x1024.. no header, and my name and message thing shows up left justified, but nothing else shows.
